High Tempo Teign Win Again
Another dominant performance resulted in a commanding 6-0
home win for league leaders Teign against USHC Plymouth.
Teign anticipated a stern test as unbeaten USHC started the
game third in the table but their aggressive high tempo attacking play was too
much for the visitors. Despite having a few passages of good passing play early
in the game USHC were unable to hold any meaningful control on the game. Swift
counter-attacking from Teign giving them the early lead through Jed Jackson and
further goals followed from George Burningham and Henry Burningham to give Teign
a 3-0 lead at the break.
The second half exploded to life with an early goal from
Henry Burningham, again from a short corner. USHC immediately rallied and the
game quickly became very intense as the visitors took offence to the scoreboard
pressure from Teign. It was to no avail however; Teign added two more goals
through Richie Fisher and then George Burningham to seal a comprehensive
result.
Teign are at home to Plymouth University A this weekend
looking to extend their sequence of victories to five.
