Exe 2s V Teign Ladies 1XI

Teign travelled to Exe this week in search of 3 points and with a new formation and great team performance they were unlucky to come away with just a 4-0 win!

Teign opened the scoring in the 2^nd minute when a long ball from Amy Jones found 'player of the match' Katie Rochelle on the baseline to pull it up across goal for Rosie Partridge to pop in on the right post, 1-0.

 Just moments later Laura Clark found KR free in the D to sneak in the 2^nd and then the 3^rd came from Rachel Thorne who found KR with just the keeper to beat, 3-0. The 4^th came from a lovely passage of play down the right involving Jane Rochelle & Jackie Brooks and a goal mouth scramble saw Grace Bruce finally find the backboard. 

 4-0 at half time and Teign were still hungry for more and pressed for a 5^th goal, Exe defended well in the 2^nd half keeping the score at 4-0. Throughout the game Teign maintained most of the possession with some great passing throughout the pitch, leaving Exe chasing the game and very few chances.

 This Saturday Teign will need another strong performance as they face top of the league Newquay 12:00 at home.
