Dominant Teign Trash Title Rivals
Aided by another four goal haul from Richie Fisher, Teign
put in another huge performance as they beat ISCA C 10-1 at home.
Both sides were promoted together last season and with ISCA
confidently winning their first two fixtures it seemed that they would once
again be the team to beat for Teign but the result showed otherwise.
Teign took a comfortable half-time lead with all the goals
coming from midfield, first from Dave Jeffs from close range, then with two
sweet strikes from youngsters Tom Brooks and Nick Holliday. But for heroics
from the ISCA keeper the score at the interval could have been much worse for
the visitors.
In the second half the flood gates opened with two goals
from striker George Burnigham than midfielder Henry Burningham from a short
corner, but the show belong to Teign’s sensational South African Richie Fisher.
He struck four times and but for more great saves from the ISCA keeper could
have added more. ISCA added a consolation goal with their only effort on goal.
Teign have now gone an entire year without defeat and face
an early start away to Plymouth Marjons B this weekend as they look to continue
that run.
