Teign A 4 - 6 North Devon A
A ten goal thriller at sandy Lane
resulted in Teign A’s second defeat in a disappointing start to the season.
Teign started the match well,
dominating possession and adding early goals through veteran Pete Brooks and
new signing Nathanial Christian-John. North Devon’s come back was initially
held back as Teign keeper Liam Town saved a penalty flick but ultimately the
visitor accumulated three goals before the break to hold a slender lead at the
interval.
In the second half Teign briefly
levelled the score as Christian-John added his second but the depleted Teign
side did not have the legs to keep North Devon at bay for long. Three more
goals followed from the visitors before Christian-John completed his outstanding
hat-trick to finish the scoring with the visitors winning 6-4.
Teign A travel to Okehampton next
weekend in search of their first victory.
